A little late
The one thing I would like to change about the lights, is when they turn on. It takes about 20 after sunset to light up. It would be nice if it was a half hour sooner

Amazing Light!... amazing find...
Just the right amount of light! The spacing when combined with the lumens produces a perfect light that is not overbearing. A big bonus for us... the plug and play mini solar w/ internal battery. This standard two prong (IP44) plug and play solar feature allows the string lights to be used with an alternate standard house plug (making certain the specs/voltage are compatible, ours came with fairy lights)... and similarly the mini solar setup can be used with other products (again making certain the specs/voltage are compatible). Just an overall great product! So nice to have a lighted outdoor area without an electrical bill and one where the lights turn on and off without my thinking. Also provides decent and attractive lighting for dark areas where night time security may be an issue.

The cords connected to the solar panel snapped for 2 out of 3 units in under 2 years. Customer support is refusing to send replacements even though I am in the warranty period. Be warned - decent product unless it breaks; then, you’re stuck with defunct, suspicious quality in their customer service department.

The strand uses Brightech's WeatherTite technology: a weatherproof cable with shatterproof plastic S14 bulbs instead of glass, powered by a 1 watt solar panel. It is built to stay up outdoors year-round, so nothing needs to come down for winter.
The strand runs entirely on its included 1 watt solar panel, so no outlet, extension cord, or wiring is needed. A photocell sensor in the panel turns the lights on automatically at dusk and off again by day, so there is no switch and no timer to set.
No. The brightness is fixed and the strand is not dimmable. The light color depends on the version you choose at purchase: Warm White (2700K) or Soft White (3000K).
On the hanging version, each bulb hangs from a short drop of cable below the main line, rather than sitting in-line on the cable itself. The bulbs dangle, so the light falls on the space below: a table, a path, a seating area. If you would rather the bulbs sit in-line, the Ambience Pro Solar Non Hanging is the same strand in that style.
The bulbs come with the strand: 12 on the 27 foot run and 15 on the 48 foot run, all S14 LED at 1 watt. Individual bulbs are replaceable rather than sealed in, so one failure never means replacing the whole strand. Replacement bulbs are available in Brightech's Amazon storefront.
Two lengths, 27 foot and 48 foot, each in Warm White or Soft White. If there is an outlet within reach, the plug-in Ambience Pro LED String Lights use brighter 2 watt bulbs and add a third light color, coming in Warm White (2500K), Soft White (2700K) and Neutral White (3000K).
Outdoors, and specifically where running power is the problem: back fences, garden paths, pergolas, detached patios, and rented spaces where permanent wiring is not an option. The hanging orientation suits anywhere people sit underneath, like a patio table or a seating area.
The 27 foot strand suits a balcony, a small patio, or one fence run. The 48 foot strand covers a backyard seating area or a longer pergola. Two details worth planning for: there are 3 feet of cable between the solar panel and the first socket, and a strand needs slack to drape, so measure the run and then add to it.
In a standard parcel box, not an oversized item. The 27 ft strand ships in a 9.84 by 8.66 by 4.72 inch carton at 3.9 lbs, and the 48 ft strand in an 11.22 by 8.66 by 4.88 inch carton at 5.1 lbs.
No assembly beyond hanging. Hang the strand and mount the solar panel where it gets direct sun, using either the clip or the ground stake depending on where it goes. Allow a full day of charging before judging the first evening's runtime.
The replacement solar panel is the part worth knowing about. The panel is the component most exposed to weather and sun over the years, and because it is sold separately, a strand can be brought back to life without buying a whole new run.
