Customers love to share how they've worked Brightech pieces into their homes. Here are some of our favorite real-world setups.
The strand is built on Brightech's WeatherTite commercial-grade outdoor cable with brass-colored sockets, and the bulbs are shatterproof plastic rather than glass. A 1.5 watt solar panel powers the strand.
They run entirely on solar power, so there is no outlet or extension cord, and they turn on automatically when it gets dark. The strand is rated IP55 waterproof and windproof to 50 mph, works from -4°F to 122°F, and has built-in hooks for hanging. A full charge gives about 5 to 6 hours of light.
No. Brightness is fixed and the bulbs give a warm white 2700K glow, a candle-like tone that suits the vintage brass look.
The bulbs hang below the cable from their brass sockets and glow in every direction, so you shape the light by where and how you hang the strand. The placement that matters most is the solar panel: it needs several hours of direct sun to power the lights through the evening.
The strand comes with 12 LED filament bulbs, 1 watt each, in a warm white 2700K. They come attached to the strand, so there is nothing to screw in before hanging.
One: a 28 foot strand with 12 sockets spaced about 20 inches apart, in warm white. For the same Glow look with the bulbs set directly on the cable instead of hanging, see the Glow Solar String Lights.
Outdoors where there is no outlet nearby: fences, pergolas, gazebos, balconies, detached patios and yard corners. They suit backyard dining, parties and quiet evenings, and the sealed outdoor cable is built to stay up through the seasons.
One 28 foot strand covers a small to medium patio, a single fence line or the edge of a pergola. Leave some slack for a natural drape, and keep in mind the panel sits on its own lead of about 6 feet, so it can be placed in the sun a short distance from the lights.
In a small standard parcel box, not an oversized item: the carton measures 9.8 by 8.8 by 4.8 inches and weighs about 4 lbs.
No. Mount the solar panel with the included ground stake, clip or screws where it gets direct sun, then hang the strand by its built-in hooks. Most setups take about 15 minutes. Let the panel charge for a full sunny day before judging the first night's runtime.
A second strand for longer runs or a second side of the patio. Each strand has its own solar panel, so they can be placed independently. For a different arrangement in the same series, the Glow Solar String Lights carry the bulbs directly on the cable.
The Glow Solar Hanging String Lights are covered by a 2 year warranty and are UL Listed, with US based customer service.
