The lamp is beautiful, matches perfectly to my mid century decor. The light is very directional so great when I'm on my laptop or reading on my couch. It isn't great to make the room bright but good enough if you just want minimal light in the room. The stand has a lovely brushed brass color, not too shiny which is what I wanted. The head can tilt slightly up/down/across but only like an inch.

It’s a beautiful lamp and the price was great. We had to place something inconspicuously underneath one end of the base to get the lamp to stand straight. We have it on carpet so maybe it wouldn’t be an issue on hardwood?
Stylish and easy to assemble--and my one worry (that the on/off switch was on the base, which I planned to have behind a piece of furniture) turned out to be a non-worry: the on/off switch is on the power cord, so it's accessible no matter how you station the lamp.
