Fire Hazard

I hate to write this review- but after the same thing happening twice, I feel as though there is an issue with the product itself. I’ve bought this lamp twice now- the first time, after about a month, I went to turn off the lamp before bed and was shocked (electric shock)- after that the lamp smelled like it was burning and never turned on again. I wrote Brightech and they sent me a new lamp, assuring me that this was a one time thing- they had never heard of this happening before. About three months into the new lamp, it happened again. Went to turn it off and got shocked, smelled like burnt plastic, and never turned on again. We were very care with the second lamp to not keep it turned on for too long, turned it off everytime we left the house because we were afraid this would happen again and that it would be a fire hazard. Really wanted to like this product, but it does not work. Customer service was fine.

Beautiful Lamp with Cool Light

The lamp has a wonderful style, with a satisfying touch control and 3 good brightness levels. My only problem was that the light was a bit cool — I got some 1/4 CTO sheets to make the light warmer, and that did the trick perfectly.
